Creating Agents

Create a New Agent

To create a new agent, navigate to the Agents page from the sidebar and click the Create button. This creates a blank agent and takes you to the configuration page where you can set up everything.

New agents start with these defaults:

  • Name: "Untitled Agent"
  • Model: Claude Sonnet 4.6 (balanced speed and capability)
  • No apps connected
  • Empty instructions

The Config Panel

The config panel is the right-side panel on your agent's chat page. It contains all the settings for your agent, organized into collapsible sections. You can toggle it open and closed with the panel icon in the header.

The config panel includes:

  • Agent Instructions — The system prompt that defines your agent's behavior and personality.
  • Name and avatar — How your agent appears in the interface.
  • Model — Which AI model powers your agent.
  • Apps — Which third-party integrations your agent can use.
  • Skills — Reusable guidelines and knowledge your agent references.
  • Automations — Event-driven or scheduled workflows.
  • Tasks — Scheduled one-time or recurring jobs.
  • Knowledge — Documents and information your agent can reference.
  • Deployments — Platforms where your agent is published.

Prebuilt Agents

Gyld offers pre-configured agent templates optimized for common use cases. These come with instructions, apps, and settings already tuned for their specific role.

To use a prebuilt agent:

  1. 1Browse the prebuilt agents section on the Agents page.
  2. 2Click on one to view its description and capabilities.
  3. 3Click "Try This Agent" to clone it to your account.
  4. 4Connect the required apps when prompted.
  5. 5Start chatting — the agent is ready to work.

Once cloned, a prebuilt agent becomes your own custom agent that you can modify freely — change the instructions, add apps, adjust the model, etc.
