Connecting Accounts

How to Connect

Before an agent can use an app, you need to connect your account for that app. This is a one-time OAuth login that authorizes Gyld to act on your behalf.

  1. 1Go to the Apps page from the sidebar.
  2. 2Find the app you want to connect and click "Connect."
  3. 3Enter a display name for the account (e.g., "Work Gmail" or "Personal Slack").
  4. 4You'll be redirected to the app's login page — sign in and grant permissions.
  5. 5Once authorized, you'll be redirected back to Gyld with a success confirmation.

Connected accounts are shared across all your agents. Once you connect your Gmail, any agent with Gmail added can use that connection.

Managing Connections

You can manage your connected accounts on the Apps page. Click on any connected app to see your accounts, set a default, or disconnect.

  • Default account — The account used when only one is available. Change it by clicking on the account you want as default.
  • Disconnect — Revoke access for an account. The app will no longer be able to act on behalf of that account.
  • Reconnect — If an account's authorization expires, you'll see a "Reconnect" button to re-authenticate.

App Permissions

When connecting an app, you'll see a permissions screen from the app provider (Google, Microsoft, Slack, etc.) listing what Gyld will be able to do. Gyld requests only the permissions needed for the tools you use — for example, Gmail requires read and send permissions for email tools.

You can revoke Gyld's access at any time from the app provider's security settings (e.g., Google Account > Security > Third-party access). This will immediately stop all agents from using that connection.
