Apps & Integrations

What Are Apps?

Apps are third-party services that your agents can interact with. When you add an app to an agent, it gains the ability to read from and write to that service — sending emails via Gmail, creating tickets in Linear, posting messages to Slack, and so on.

Gyld supports 100+ apps across categories including email, CRM, project management, file storage, e-commerce, social media, analytics, and more. You can browse all available apps on the Apps page.

Adding Apps to Agents

  1. 1Open your agent's config panel.
  2. 2Scroll to the Apps section and click the "+" button.
  3. 3Search or browse for the app you want to add.
  4. 4Click the app to select it, then confirm.
  5. 5The app and its tools are now available to your agent.

After adding an app, you'll need to connect an account for that app (see Connecting Accounts) so the agent can authenticate and access your data.

Managing Tools

Each app comes with multiple tools (actions). You can fine-tune which tools your agent has access to by clicking on an app in your agent's config panel:

  • Toggle "All" to enable or disable all tools for that app at once.
  • Toggle individual tools to grant or restrict specific actions.
  • Disabling unnecessary tools makes your agent more focused and reduces the chance of unintended actions.

Only enable the tools your agent actually needs. Fewer tools means faster, more accurate responses — the AI spends less time deciding which tool to use.

Every agent has access to these built-in system tools regardless of connected apps:
